‘Supper In The Sun‘ draws upon the legacy of the St Ives School and my lifelong connection to Cornwall, where sketchbooks filled with sea-washed light and coastal horizons have long inspired my work.

This imagined scene blends the intimacy of domestic life with memories of lemon groves, mojitos and sardines. On a kitchen table, lemons rest in a bowl beside a jug of lemonade, or maybe it’s mojitos, as suggested by the mint leaves in a bowl. The rhythmic geometry of the patterned wall plays against the organic forms, balancing colour, texture, and a quiet sense of times gone by.
