If you like the luxe look, these poppies on a rich green and gold leaf background, fits the bill!

The thick impasto application of paint makes the poppies stand proud of the deep green background and the gold table top gives the composition a warm glow.

I have used smooth brushwork for the background and impasto application for the flowers, stems and vase so the viewer sees contrasts in textures as well as in colours.

The painting is protected from UV and dust with several coats of professional artist varnish.
