Himalayan Poppies in purple are not the easiest variety to grow in my Bristol city garden, but they inspired a painting! This is part of an evolving series of poppy paintings inspired by varieties grown in my garden.

The ‘St Ives’ style frame is hand built in Bristol without glazing so the textural qualities may be fully appreciated. The painting is protected from UV and dust by several coats of professional artist varnish.
